Drveni most na rijeci Piva kod Pluzina

Piva River

The canyon of the river Piva, which, along with the river Tara, is one of the most beautiful rivers in Montenegro, is cut through the mountains Maglić, Volujak, and Piva mountain. The canyon is about 33km long and about 1200m deep.

The Piva Hydroelectric Power Plant dammed the Piva Canyon in 1975. and now there is the Mratinje Dam, which is 220m high and represents one of the largest dams in Europe. The Mratinje Dam is extremely interesting to our guests, and upon arrival at Rafting Camp, everyone takes the opportunity to take wonderful photos here.

The dam also created the beautiful Lake of Piva, which is even 200m deep in some places.
Rafting Camp Modra Rijeka got its name from the beautiful, blue color of the Piva River, on whose banks it is located. Very close to the rafting camp is the meeting point of the Piva, Tara and Drina rivers, a unique place in the world where three beautiful rivers meet at one point. This is your starting point for rafting in Montenegro.

Near the Rafting Camp Modra Rijeka, there is also a beautiful wire bridge over the Piva River, which is visited by a large number of tourists every year who enjoy the beautiful scenery and probably the most photographed place in the area.
